PIXI Hosts South Luzon Roadshow in Tagaytay
On December 10, 2024, the PCTA Internet Exchange (PIXI) hosted its South Luzon Roadshow at Hotel Monticello in Tagaytay City, gathering industry professionals, key stakeholders, and experts from the cable and internet sectors. The event aimed to foster collaboration and share the latest developments surrounding PIXI’s mission to improve the cable industry in the Philippines.
The event commenced with opening remarks from PIXI President, Mr. Cedric Sazon, who emphasized the importance of innovation and collaboration within the cable industry. He highlighted the role of the roadshow in bringing together experts and stakeholders from various regions to discuss challenges, opportunities, and advancements in the sector.
Following the opening remarks, Engr. Michael Pablo Dela Paz, PIXI Operations-In-Charge, took the stage to provide a comprehensive presentation on the PCTA Internet Exchange (PIXI). He shared the organization’s focus on enhancing the efficiency of the cable industry in the Philippines by offering a secure and efficient platform for interconnecting various service providers. Engr. Dela Paz outlined how PIXI serves as a critical backbone for improving internet traffic management, fostering better connectivity, and supporting the nation’s growing digital infrastructure.
Mr. Ronald Manlapig, Event Chairman of the Philippine Tech Show 2025. Mr. Manlapig addressed the audience, offering valuable insights on how each individual can contribute to the growth and progress of the cable industry. He shared that collaboration across different sectors, including technology, service providers, and government, is essential for overcoming challenges and propelling the industry forward. Looking ahead, Mr. Manlapig presented an exciting preview of the upcoming Philippine Tech Show 2025, which is set to take place in March next year. He discussed the event’s strategic goals which are expected to drive the future of connectivity.
The roadshow concluded with a Q&A session, where attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers, ask questions, and share their own perspectives on the future of the cable industry, and closing remarks by PIXI Director, Dr. Venancio Lo.
